Raster grid

RAL & RAL Pro Series

Raster-grid vacuum tables using sealing cord to define the active clamping area. A versatile choice for many CNC machining and fixture applications where a controlled vacuum zone and flexible workpiece positioning are required.

Hole grid

GR Series

Hole-grid tables provide distributed vacuum through a regular hole pattern. They are suitable for a wide range of flat workpieces and can be combined with appropriate rubber mats or adapter layers for the application.

A custom vacuum table involves more than changing its overall dimensions. The following details help us assess the correct construction, vacuum distribution and integration with your machine.

Overall & Usable Dimensions

Length, width, thickness, usable clamping area, installation height and any machine travel restrictions.

Vacuum Distribution & Zones

Number of zones, independent circuits, workpiece coverage and whether unused areas need to be isolated.

Mounting & Machine Interface

Fixing-hole patterns, threaded holes, counterbores, locating features, recesses and machine datum requirements.

Material, thickness, smallest and largest part, cutting forces, breakthrough machining and production method.

Vacuum Port Positions & Connections

Vacuum connection placement is an important part of a custom table design. We can assess ports on the long sides, short sides or underside, depending on the table construction, internal vacuum channels and available machine clearance.

Specify the Connection Arrangement

Our quotation form allows you to describe each requested vacuum port, including its position, circuit, connection type and hose exit direction.

  • Long side: Side A or Side B, with the preferred position.
  • Short side: Side A or Side B, including any clearance restrictions.
  • Bottom connection: Where underside routing is required and technically feasible.
  • Multiple ports: Separate connections for independent zones or vacuum circuits.
  • Connection details: Thread, hose barb, push-fit or manifold requirements.
  • Hose exit: Straight, 90° or downward routing, with available clearance.

Important: Not every port position is possible on every vacuum table series. Bottom connections, multiple circuits and non-standard fittings must be assessed against the internal vacuum distribution, table thickness and structural requirements. A drawing showing your preferred positions is particularly helpful.

Matching the Vacuum Source to the Table

The vacuum table and vacuum source should be considered together. The correct solution depends on the effective clamping area, material permeability, leakage, machining forces and whether the operation involves through-cutting.

Existing Vacuum Equipment

If you already have a vacuum pump, side-channel blower or compressed-air vacuum generator, provide its model and performance details. We can assess whether it is suitable for the proposed table and application.

Complete Vacuum Clamping System

If you require a complete solution, we can consider the table together with a suitable vacuum source, hoses, fittings, manifolds, filters and other accessories required for installation.

Breakthrough machining: Cutting through a workpiece can expose vacuum openings and increase leakage. The table series, vacuum source, zone arrangement and sacrificial support layer should be selected with this in mind.
